Talk To Talk with Aby Fab

Best know I bring the freshest interviews from you favourite artist & this time its ABY FAB this dude is hella focused, here’s how the interview went you be the judge….

Q: Here we go my dude, most people know you already , do you feel like you’ve reached you desired objective?

Aby: Well I am far from the goal but am definitely on the path toward it. People know only a potion of my character. I have only just introduced my character in this movie called hip-hop, the action is yet to come so SA must buckle up, because I’m yet to reach my desired objective or destination 4 that matter

Q: You sound pretty confident in yourself, what does it take for a come up to make it big in this industry?

Aby: I personally believe that your attitude determines your altitude, & your attitude is reflected by the world to you, so confidence is a smart tool to use in this industry, 4 the world will have confidence in you for having it in yourself. So get your attitude right to survive the scene.

Q: Now in terms of albums and sales do you think you ready to head in that direction, since we all know you need to be known in order to release one esp in SA hip hop?

Aby: Well I’m far from being an album artist as yet, but my comfort and appropriate zone or space 4 now is mixtapes and singles. I hav an online mixtape, “Feature Fridays,” that has managed to attract over 11500 downloads the past 5 months, and I recently just released a local remix joint, to AKA‘s “All I Know” which is now sitting on over 2700 downloads in just 2 weeks. So these numbers are my way of creating demand around my name and music, paving way 4 an album-release when the Demand gets out of hand. That’s a winning formula in my perspective.

Q: There might be a demand but is it enough to sell once an artist has released and album? Are you lookin to extend your work to overseas features or strictly keeping it local?

Aby: Demand eventually manifests into sales, hence its the consumers that form a huge chunk of the demand pie. I strongly believe that all artists, no matter what genre or language they use to sell their music, in some way or another, aims to appeal even to the international market…. So yup I do work toward having a continental and international appeal in my music, which will hopefully attract international features and album releases.

Q: Great work being put in…. I’m gonna put you on the spot and ask you who is your Top 3 local come ups

Aby: #DEV uhmmm…. In order
1. Devour
2. Ginger Breadman
3. Kid X

Q: Do you see yourself workin with #2 & #3 anytime soon?

Aby: They are featured in my upcoming project already

Q: A question most rappers don’t wanna answer…. Who do you think is being gassed up for nothing?

Aby: Its political… And I personally HATE politics. I just wanna rap MAJOR.. Gedit???

Q: Hahahaha …. I catch your drift… Right before a wrap up the interview when is your next studio session? And keep up the good work

Aby: I’m back in studio 4 da 1st tym in 2012 on monday 9th Jan. Thanx 4 da interview homie. I appreciate it!!!

Look out for this talented artist , destined for greatness.
